They have been stored outside for a while so there is some surface rust, but they are structurally sound. No rusted through areas. The rust is only cosmetic and should be easy to remove with some wirebrushing / sanding / rust remover chemical.
Since taking the pics I did powerwash all 3 bookcases so they are now clean.
Would be great as is for storage in your garage or shop. With a new coat of paint would be great for the house. Or use them outside for garden supplies. Or as a source of sheet metal for fabrication.
