I am looking for somebody to take over my lease in a 4 bedroom house, just off of Puente Drive near More Mesa, sometime in late January / early February.
The room is the master bedroom. It is quite large, and has its own recently-renovated private bathroom, multiple spacious closets, and a sliding glass door to the backyard, which could function as a private entrance/exit. Plenty of natural light from the window and glass door. I am open to leaving behind some of the furniture, including the bed, tv, and lamps, if desired.
The house is quite lovely as well. It has a very nice modern kitchen, as well as a large garage (not pictured) with washer/dryer, a ping pong table, and plenty of storage space for surfboards, bikes, etc. The backyard is lush and gorgeous, with beautiful views of the mountains and sunsets. The backyard has additional amenities, including a gas grill, a hammock, a tiki bar, and a meditation/yoga hut treehouse thing (we’ve never known what to call it). You will also have access to a great outdoor pool for use by the neighborhood occupants (HOA fee is included with rent). Did I mention the tiki bar?
In terms of location, the house is a 10 minute drive from UCSB (or 20 minute bike ride on a great bike path), and a 10 minute drive from downtown. It is also a 2 minute walk away from the beautiful and expansive More Mesa open space, and about a 20 minute walk from the More Mesa beach.
The three other housemates are all male UCSB PhD students. They spend most of their time on campus, but they are all ~chill guys~ who do enjoy the occasional bbq or movie or game night.
Rent is $1758.50/month, and utilities are usually about $100.
