Saturday, Sunday and Holiday availability are required for this position.

We are seeking a reliable, professional individual to work Saturday, Sunday, holidays and some weekday shifts in our gift shop and at our tour desk.
Responsibilities include:
. Warmly greeting customers, offering assistance, and providing tour and merchandise information.
. Maintaining store displays and restocking as needed.
. Processing cash and credit card sales.
. Completing end-of-day reports.
. Opening and closing gift shop, museum and tour desk.
Requirements:
. Must be able to work Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. Old Mission Santa Barbara is open every day except, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
. Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers.
. A positive attitude and professional disposition.
. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Old Mission Santa Barbara is closed three days a year, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for cash handling and sales calculations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving our diverse customer base.
Demonstrated knowledge of retail math. Requires prolonged standing approximately five to nine hours per day.
Requires stooping and kneeling as well as reaching and pulling to obtain or stock merchandise on storage racks and displays.
May be required to climb ladder or ascend/descend stairs in order to stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale.
Required to lift items weighing 5 – 25 lbs. regularly. In certain circumstances, weights may be higher.
Must have good vision, including color differentiation.
The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy retail setting.
Successful Background Check and a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
