She is incredibly smart, thoughtful, and has a good drive for learning — not an “insanely high-energy” dog, but one who truly benefits from regular exercise, structure, and mental stimulation. She would be an excellent match for someone who enjoys training and engaging with their dog beyond the basics.
Birdie’s previous owner unfortunately wasn’t able to put in the consistent time and training she needed early on, and due to current life circumstances, I haven’t been able to fully give her the outlet she deserves. Because of that, I want to find her a home where she can truly thrive.
A few important things to know:
• 🧠 Very intelligent and eager to learn
• ⚡ Moderate energy with a good working drive when engaged
• 🐕 Some dog reactivity, which I genuinely believe could improve greatly with proper exercise, structure, and consistent handling
• 🐱 Loves cats
• 💕 Loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented
Birdie would do best with someone patient and committed — ideally with some dog experience — who wants to help a smart dog build confidence and good habits. In the right environment, she has so much potential and will be an incredibly rewarding companion.
