Tested and works with 6 D batteries. No cord came with it to test it with a wall outlet. A customer was generous enough to give us a cord that works with it (now comes with a cord). All the keys work, volume, etc when using batteries or the cord. Prior to having the right cord, the sound would get locked out and we found a solution online which was to plug in headphones and then unplug them and the sound came back. AS IS.
