The PRS 305 was in production from 2010 through 2014
This is one of the 20 prototypes that was made in 2009 before production started the following year.
As a prototype, it has features that the production models did not have. Production models have a 5 way switch and 1 volume and 1 tone control knob,
This prototype has the same 5 ways switch but the volume and tone control knobs are also push pull phase switching and coil tapping for eliminating 60 cycle hum and for a cleaner brighter tone (if engaged).
This prototype also has Abalone bird inlays which the production models did not
This prototype also has highly figured quilted Maple top with Indian Rosewood fretboard.
The pickups are the 3 original 305 single coil pickups that offer a warmer higher output sound than typical strat pickups.
Scale length on the PRS 305 is 25.5" with 10-46 string gauge.
Comes with excellent locking hard shell case
A beautiful guitar with addictive tonal character.
