There are of course other similar letter openers online, but none by as famous
a personage as Chuck!

Mr. Willcox passed away a number of years ago, sadly. I grew up in the SB area, and
have sat under that picture of him (first photo) with his pet (!) cougar at Cold Spring Tavern
most of my life, and I would have loved to have met him! In the article link
above, you will see that famous photo of the one-eyed, one-armed man sitting
on a log, with his faithful mountain lion "Tom" beside him. If you have ever been to
Cold Spring Tavern, it is mounted on the wall to the left of the fireplace in the
front dining room/bar. I have been fascinated by that photo for so long!
I used to find other sterling items of his online, but not anymore. So this
may be everyone's last chance to own an exquisite piece by this legendary
silversmith!!!
