Lionel train set which I received at age 4 or 5 in 1946 or 1947. I discovered this long forgotten item in my attic where it had been kept since 1968.

The train seems to be in good condition, but the set does not include a transformer, so I am unable to confirm that the locomotive works, although I have no reason to believe that it does not. The locomotive is a 2-4-2 “Scout” diecast. Slide rods not mounted and missing on one side. Slide rods seem to be available on e-bay at a modest price.
