compensation: $3,707.75/Mo. -$ 4,194.92/Mo. (Nine step Salary Range continues to a maximum of $4,517.17)

Under the direction of the Supervisor-Security, lead and participate in monitoring campus parking lots, directing traffic and enforcing College parking and traffic rules and regulations; coordinate response to College security needs and patrol and supervise campus facilities and grounds to assure the well-being and safety of students, staff and visitors in non-classroom activities; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned personnel.

REQUIREMENTS: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and three years increasingly responsible security experience including work with a college district or similar educational organization. Experience with Military, Police Officer or position of similar capacity also accepted.
Bilingual Spanish and EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification preferred. One year working in a security position preferred. Upon being hired: 1) Must be able to complete 24 hour Campus Security Officer Course (Education Code 72330.5 and 38001.5) through an authorized agency within six months of employment. 2) Must be able to complete a 40 hour course (Penal Code 832) through an authorization POST agency within six months of employment.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 5:30 am - 2:00 pm
