Working 75% for the Chicano Studies Institute and 25% for the Center for Black Studies Research, provides financial management support to the departments' Business Officers and Directors. Financial, payroll and HR duties include posting financial and payroll transactions, processing travel vouchers, entertainment and miscellaneous reimbursements, invoice payments, transfer of funds, procurement, timekeeping management, new hire on-boarding and department orientation. Assists with event coordination, contribution tracking and budgeting. Manages the CSI Director and Advisory Committee calendars and calendaring activities.
Reqs: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong ability to organize, set priorities, take initiative and work independently. Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Knowledge of a variety of applications such as MS word, Filemaker Pro, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Pagemaker. Experience working with office equipment; fax machine, scanner, copier.
