This is the perfect gift for classical guitar player. Or treat yourself. Yamaha nylon strings, crafted in the tradition of Japanese manufacturing diligence, is the undisputed prime choice for students of the art and a great second instrument for the virtuoso. (This model was made 1969–1973 or early 70s, hence qualifies as a vintage instrument. It is very well preserved and handles like it is fresh out of the box.)
Perfectly set up with good strings, very playable action and a good straight neck. This instrument is in very good or excellent condition no cracks dings or dents whatsoever. Actually it might qualify as "excellent" however I am not an expert appraiser so I listed as good since there is no VG category on CL. Reason for sale: I play steel string including slide, and own several other nylon string instruments with very limited space.
Perfect for teachers, students and collectors, Yamaha was a leading force in developing the reputation of Japanese manufacturing - a reputation which has endured and is manifest in the rich tone of this remarkable, very affordable guitar. Would be an excellent gift excelling what could be had for the price with any new production model. The woods, seasoned over more than half century, express tone like an old violin. The unrivaled prime choice in its price point.
Note: I will negotiate the price to meet comparables, if they exist, considering tax and shipping but expect a reasonable bump in value against having an instrument shipped out unseen from any of the corporate vendors. There is simply no substitute for taking the instrument into your hands and evaluating the tone and playability before making the investment. My listing price is pretty much break even given that I drove over one hundred miles to snap it up when it was listed at a reasonable price but I am committed to providing the eventual purchaser with a fair price consistent with current market conditions. To the degree I may be somewhat above market I will adjust my price accordingly. In the interim I am bumping the price up a bit every couple of days so get in touch with me sooner rather than later if interested.
