Hand wired Cornford Hellcat clone tube amp, make by the little known Santa Barbara local "Dr. D," for himself and I bought this, a guitar he made, with a few other items when he retired from his hobby of guitar and amp building. I already had my blue Marshall Ceriatone he built years ago and love it, but it, too, is up for sale. The real Hellcat was $3500 new!
It sounds SO good. Can get to full modern metal distortion and all the Marshall goodness and in between. The tolex has come unglued a bit on the back, and be very easily fixed, otherwise all great. I have too many amps and they are all terrific, but some have to go.
Features:
Two channels, each with volume and master volume, foot switchable.
Effects Loop
Unique and very musical EQ, Bass Middle Treble
No reverb
Weighed 28 pounds for me
Size: 21.5x10x10
$1000 or best very close offer, but no lowballs or bullshit, please, as price is pretty firm. Cash only in person.
Here's Cornford's info on the real thing. This appears to have it all except the reverb, so it weighted 28 lbs for me instead of 35.

The Cornford Hellcat has an enormous repertoire. This beauty of an amp has the power to suit stage or studio with ease and sounds ranging all the way from vintage early break-up through to downright hair raising modern rock and metal.
Add to this a sumptuous valve reverb, dual master volume controls and an overdrive lead sound to die for, the Hellcat is definately not to be missed.
A quartet of EL84 valves provide the Hellcat's power and add a unique complexity and detail to the sound.
THE HELLCAT CHASSIS
Hellcat - Story
The idea behind the “Hellcat” was to push the boundaries of boutique amp making to their very limits, taking it to, where no boutique amp has been before.
Channel 2 takes you to every point on the vintage amp scale with just the turn of the gain control where as channel 1 takes you to a place that no boutique amp has ever dared visit.
GUTHRIE GOVAN AND THE HELLCAT
A boutique amp that does metal?? And all points in between and it does it all in that very special Cornford way. None more brown and most definitely the tone by which all others must be judged.
Guitarist Magazine gave this amp a 5 out of 5 review & awarded the Hellcat with a "Guitarists Choice" award.
The Hellcat also received a 5 Star Tip Award from German magazine Gitarist, as well as a 5 Star Award from Guitarrista Spain.
