Nearly mint 333. I finally found this sunburst about 10 years ago and put it under my bed and forgot I had it! I always wanted a 335 and found out about this guitar that was only made for a few years and is a little less expensive. It is set up well, plays great, and looks new, save for 2 small blemishes on the back, one is just surface and the other I address fully below.
Weighs 8 lb 7 oz
There is a small flaw in the finish on the back you can see in two photos. Local luthier Jim Lombard fixed a tiny crack in the top ply and did it correctly, but I didn't spend $300 to refinish the whole back to make it look perfect. There is one other little dent shown in a photo on the back that happened sometime taking to or from Jim. Came with the tiny crack/flaw that had no effect, no other noticeable wear. Had it done because people were worried and Jim confirmed it was fine as is sealed and done. There is no additional info.
The 335 case in the one photo can be included for an additional $75.
$1750, FIRM without case. Trades are possible, but only if I either need what you have or it's strongly to my advantage as I'll have to sell whatever that is...
The cheapest 335 style Gibsons on Reverb are over $2100, except for some "studio" models and have no binding on the body or neck and matte finish. So, my price is already low. I'll sell it there for $2100 if it doesn't sell locally, but I prefer to sell in person by far.
Blurb:
The Gibson ES-333 was originally intended to be a more affordable, stripped down 335 alternative, but the Gibson ended production after sales began taking away from the iconic 335.
This guitar did not come from the factory with a pickguard and featured exposed humbuckers and a satin finish.
