Description: Very nice condition Stromberg Voisinet Hawaiian Parlor guitar from the mid to late '20s. This is the second variation with parlor guitar appointments, pyramid bridge and wood marquetry perfling. It also has the pearloid finger board and the "small Island" decal. This is probably only a one or two year variation. It's in great condition and just a pleasure to play! It has a strong V shape neck and very comfortable to play. It works great for finger style and since it is all solid mahogany it has that strong mid range response for thumb style mid '20s blues! Great Sounding really rare piece prior to name being Kay Made in USA Chicago. Mother of pearl fret board etc great collectors piece. Stromberg-Voisinet was the Chicago company that became Kay in 1931. This beauty was made during the Hawaiian music craze of the 1920's. Very, very nice finish and art work. Really a pretty thing. Note the half-slotted "gumby" headstock and pearloid fingerboard. Very cool piece. The guitar is structurally very sound. No cracks or weak seams. The action is good playable for sure. I have just used it as an art object for few years on the wall. It's really beautiful.
