Hi. Thanks for checking out my post. Trying to English Pronunciation tutor or coach on Craigslist isn't always easy. Here are a few things you may want to consider:
- Do they have professional experience, professional training and an advanced degree in teaching ESL, Pronunciation and Accent Reduction?
- Do they offer a free introductory meeting?
- Do they have a website where you can read more about them and their approach to helping you improve your English speaking?
- Do they have experience working with clients with your first language?
- Do they list their coaching fee in their Craigslist post?
- Do they let you pay for each session afterwards, instead of requiring you to pay in advance?
You might find a good coach who doesn't have everything on the above list, but I would recommend you be a little cautious of posts that don't have most of them. My name is Bryant, and I'm a Skype Accent Reduction Coach and Pronunciation / Speaking Tutor.
I've worked with many clients from every major language, helping them speak more clearly and confidently. Most of my clients have been in the U.S. for several years, but aren't yet satisfied with their level of English speaking. I work with doctors, business executives, Tech professionals, graduate and Postdoc students, children of non-English speaking parents, and others who are already fairly fluent in English but aren't yet satisfied with the way they communicate using spoken English.
I have a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, and I've taught college level courses in ESL. My website, PeakEnglishCoaching.com, has a lot of information about me and my approach to helping you improve your English speaking. In short, I help you become more aware of your mistakes by giving you real time feedback, I help you learn how to correct and improve your mistakes, and I help you naturalize the new learning, so that it becomes more and more automatic and natural.
My corporate rate is more, but for individual clients, my rate is $70 for each one hour session, or $60 for each 50 minute session. Clients pay me with PayPal or Venmo after each session, and never need to pay in advance.
I offer a free 20 minute introductory session so we can meet, so I can understand your English challenges and goals, and you can decide if you'd like to work with me. If you'd like to schedule one please reply to this email or use the contact form at the bottom of my site, PeakEnglishCoaching.com
I wish you the best with your English goals!
