Unusual in that it is extremely rare to find a carnelian bead necklace in which the chain is half metal. Very enchanting appearance.
Chain is mostly brass, but gold-filled. Marked as 12KT GF on clasp.
Nice spring ring clasp, which is in good working order.
One small flaw: one bead has a small chip on its end. This bead is closest to chain and chip is not glaringly noticeable, but it is there. (Please refer to all photos.)
No other flaws.
Fun fact: Carnelian has a long history and is mentioned throughout the Bible and other ancient texts. It was believed to have magical powers and protect against evil spirits and bad luck. Carnelian was also thought to increase vitality, courage, and creative expression.
Necklace length is 19.5", as measured from one end of clasp to the other.
