This whimsical painting appears to be an original by the artist Newland. It's subject matter, style and impasto (thick paint application) technique suggest it dates within the '50s to early '70s MCM period. Newland often painted clownish barflies among whose ranks might be famous artists themselves – like the Toulouse-Lautrec look-alike partying in this scene.
This framed painting measures 36" wide x 24" high to the canvas edges. It is being offered in "As Is" condition.
