Has neat old "Tecolote Bookshop" label, revealing that this cook book originally was purchased when Tecolote Bookshop was located at the De La Guerra Studios in downtown Santa Barbara.

Written by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, Pulitzer Prize winning author of "The Yearling."

"Spiced with delightful anecdotes and lore, Cross Creek Cookery guides the reader through the rich culinary heritage of the deep tidal South with a loving regard for the rituals of cooking and eating."

A terrific cook book filled with wonderful recipes and containing many illustrations.

Book is in impressive condition, with its original dust jacket still in great shape.

Volume itself is in fine condition ---- No scribbles, No torn pages, No dog ears, etc.

There are four TINY stains at bottom of four consecutive pages (please refer to all photos).

The book itself has a smattering of rust-colored spots on its cloth binding back cover.

Dust jacket has been insect-nibbled along its top edge. There is an old old bit of masking tape attached at bottom of jacket spine.

Overall, an 83-year-old book which has been kept safely stored away and rarely handled.

230 pages, including 10-page index.

Book dimensions = 8.5 x" 5.75" x 1"
