Classic 16-foot Loon. Designed by Bob Foote and built by Vernon Pew in Oregon back in the day in Oregon. No “cabin canoe.” Built for lakes and flat-water river trips. Shallow V hull for tracking. Slightly rockered for responsiveness. Some flair for splash protection. Red fiberglass (cosmetic scratches) with cherry wood ribs, hardwood uppers, and laced seats. Bought new by me and used for Sierra Lakes, Mendocino coastal rivers, and Lower Colorado River multi-day canoe camping trips. Includes two clip-on seats w/backs and portaging caddy. Clean and beautiful. I only give it up because I cannot paddle any more. Original price way back when: $2600.
