A 13x16 oil painting of an alley way scene most likely somewhere in Israel by Israeli artist, Yehuda Rodan (1916-1985). Interesting stepped frame measures 20-3/4" x 23-3/4". painting is in very good condition and i do notice that someone has painted the center opening part of the frame that's closest to the painting with white paint (see second and third photos)

Yehuda (Istvan) Rodan, Painter. b. 1916, Transylvania.
Studies: 1933-35 Nancy, France, medicine; also attended Beaux Arts Faculty; left medicine and studied with artist, Macalik, Romania; 1939 advanced studies with Hungarian painter, Adolf Fenyus.
Prize: Nordau Prize of World Hungarian Jewry.
In World War II was a forced laborer in concentration camp.
1950-58 Headed artists' group and later was chosen to head local branch of Romanian Artists' Association.
He immigrated to Israel in 1961.
