Painter. Born in Cairo, IL on Oct. 31, 1866. Halliday graduated from Vassar. She then studied with Wm M. Chase and in 1900 went to Paris for further study at Academies Carmen and Colarossi. While based in Berlin, she made regular visits back to southern California and often had a studio in Santa Monica during the late 1920s and early 1930s.
Due to Hitler and the likelihood of war, she returned to California in 1938 and settled in Santa Barbara. A spinster, she died there on June 26, 1957.
