what you will learn:
the key to any media business is content and the web is still in the process of dramatically changing the creation, gathering and editing of all other media. littleBiggy uses a combination of computer technology, traditional writing skills, and the power of public opinion to create a unique library of human reputations and a marketplace that rests above it. specifically you can expect to learn:
- the dynamics of open content
- what appeals to web viewers
- how to bring "life" to an online enterprise
who you will meet:
littleBiggy is a small and open organization and interns have access to everyone. all of your questions about the job at hand, online media, and even your own career interests will be addressed and you will always be treated as an individual.
in addition to people within littleBiggy you can expect to interact with leaders and opinion makers in key industries ("worlds") that are receiving special attention from littleBiggy including the legal, construction, real estate, education and music industries.
what is required:
the internship requires a minimum of about 100 hours over the course of 1 or 2 months. work can take place at our offices in santa barbara or santa monica, california or anywhere in the world online and via conference call. we expect:
a high degree of integrity
a command of the english language
basic online proficiency
good work habits and responsiveness
what you will receive:
successful completion of the internship will result in a certification of completion and a letter of recommendation from a manager at littleBiggy.
interns will also receive a rating and endorsement within their own littleBiggy profile page.
outstanding interns may expect a monetary bonus and/or an offer for a paid position at littleBiggy.
