Your Santa Barbara/Ojai for my Vancouver

We are a Vancouver couple who will be hitting the road with our faithful companion (a well-behaved black lab) in mid-May.
Planning to be in the Santa Barbara area for a few days just before heading to Palm Springs for Memorial Day. Our charming cottage-size home in Vancouver will be available May 16-27.
Our house has recently been renovated. It's small and cozy: main floor is simply a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom; it's perfect for a couple and/or their dog.
The front and back gardens are professionally-design (by me) and 100% maintenance-free (i.e. on irrigation - so you don't have to do a thing, except enjoy). The house is dog-friendly, but we prefer non-smoking guests.
Wi-fi and printer are also available for home-swap guests.
Our neighbourhood is very sweet and safe. It is about 15 minute drive into cosmopolitan downtown. 10 minutes to Granville Island and Kitsilano.
