Third person wanted to share a 3 bed, 2 bath luxury house. Incredible house—huge kitchen and living area, plenty of off-street parking, back yard for barbecues. Sorry, no pets. There is a double garage to share for storage or parking.
We are in a quiet neighborhood about a mile from the beach. Carp is a little slice of heaven—farmer’s market on Thursdays, micro brewery, sushi, thai food…you name it, we’ve got it. The beach is about as good as you’ll find anywhere on the Socal coast.
You would be sharing this house with 2 hetero males. One is a 40 year old executive who is away on business about 50% of the time and, even when he is here, only stays 3-4 nights per week. The other is 45, works at SB City College, and is an English major at UCSB. We like music, food and good company, and are easy going. There are bicycles, a sailboat and a dinghy, if you like the ocean.
There are a few options with this house.
Option One: $1000—A fair sized single room with built in closets, share bathroom with one other respectful, responsible person. Water pressure is great, and the hot water never runs out.
Option Two. The large master suite for $1200 per month.
Option 3: Same as either option one or two, but for an extra $100, you also get the spare room/office (180 sq ft—hardwood floors, very nice room.)
For those wondering about travel time to SB from Carp, I have never found the traffic to be a serious impediment to my commute. Most days I travel at 75 mph all the way. Occasionally, if you are driving from SB to Carp on Sunday night at about 5pm, it gets a little slow, but otherwise, it is a pleasant 15 minute drive. I find that, from the time I leave home in the morning to the time I am in class at UCSB is about 35 minutes (20 miles).

We welcome inquiries. Unfortunately the lease stipulates no pets. Sorry. Utilities are very cheap and run about $60 a month, including cable TV and cable internet with wireless capacity. Rental is month to month.
