Coby, a Terrier mix, has tan yellowish medium length fur. She weighs 25 lbs. Her body is 16in tall. She is 17in long from base of neck to rear. She is 1yr & 1mo old. She is spayed, current on vacs, and on preventatives. Great with dogs and curious about but not harmful to cats. She is friendly, loving, playful and loves to run around and play tag, well, at least be chased around. She has never growled at all before. She isn't a yappy dog. She is not a pig nor a picky eater. She is really excited most of the time. Overall she's a real sweetheart. She follows me around all over the house. She must go to a good, loving, non abusive, forever home where there are no mean dogs and where she will be cared for. Medium pet kennel. Selling for $40 you pick up at my location. About 18 inches wide by 24 inches high by 30 inches deep. In excellent like new condition. I purchased this for the recuperation of one of my kids cats after he broke his leg. The cat could not stand being in it so it was only used for an hour or so until the drugs wore off and we had to make other arrangements. Cost over $100. Cat not included. I have since eaten the cat and no longer need the kennel.

He is the lab missing after a car wreck Tues early at 2AM..see previous posts each day for his picture.

Please bring a leash or rope as well. I hope Plato is resting if he is injured or in pain from his hips, honkered down by the creek, hungry and scared, but feeling the overwhelming amount of love that is drawing him to be found!

Thank you all for caring, his story is as pathetic and heartwarming as it gets, and I will post it in full later when there is time.

I want my cell to be called for emergencies so the battery will last.
I hope not too many people will be leaving me birthday wishes and draining it, but I can't think of anything I want as a present more than Plato's safe return!

I have 2 bunnies. One is a neutered male that is black & white (we got him from the Humane Society a year ago & he's approx. 2 1/2 years old). The other is a light tan female (unaltered) angora lop ear bunny approx. 1 year old (she's very small though).

They both are very sweet and loveable. The black & white one occasionally nips when you've held him for a long time.

We are looking for someone with whom to share our 8 year old Arabian Horse (mare). My 8 year old daughter is currently taking 1-3 horseback riding lessons a week on Bri, and we are hoping to find someone who wants to take lessons while we are traveling this summer. Bri (the horse) resides at Willow Brook Stables off foothill in Santa Barbara. The lessons provided by Stacy McMullen, an expert trainer in both English and Western.

So we are looking for a person or persons who would to take lessons once a week, or twice a week or three times a week. The lessons are provided at flexible times including Saturdays and are 1 hour long. Lessons usually include between one to three other riders.

You do not need to be an expert and can work on building your skills with an expert trainer�This is a great opportunity. Only want to ride once a week?- that�s fine, but you can do a summer intensive by doing 2 or 3 sessions. OR if you are a family other family members can take a lesson at a different time.

Willow Brook is a relaxed fun environment. Lots of people stable their horses and ride there so it�s a fun community to become a part of. Quite a few kids also ride, so if you are looking for a fun activity to share with an older child this summer, this could be it. Also after summer ends the arrangement could continue. Please help us find Plato! We are running out of time and so we are organizing a larger search for Plato on Saturday (5/17). We are planning on searching the creek down towards the beach/Gaviota State Park on Saturday. We think he may have gone this way because it would be easier on his hips. Please dress appropriately as there is poison oak in the creek area and probably ticks. It would help to bring binoculars and a machete or something to cut brush with. Please check back on craigslist late Friday for an update on the search plans and time. Today, 2 fabulous people searched for 5 hours in the creek from the accident site (1.9 miles south from route 1 on the 101) uphill to the schoolhouse but did not spot him. Plato the large male yellow lab is still missing after his foster dad was involved in a car accident late Monday night just south of the Gaviota tunnel. Please report ANY sightings of Plato to: Rose at 310-925-8027, or therosegarden21@aol.com. If you see Plato, please call him to you and try to get him into a car. He likes cars! He is scared of people as he has been abused in the past, so please do not try and grab at him or move suddenly, just remain calm and call him to you. If you are able to get him into a car or confined area do not stare at him or try to interact with him, just call Rose ASAP and she will come and get him. He is likely in a lot of pain from his bad hips and very scared! He was wearing a collar but the cell phone # on the collar was damaged in the accident. If you are willing to help search for Plato, please let us know as we are trying to organize a more thorough search of the area. We searched today but had no luck and are becoming very worried about this dog who has been through so much already.

I have tried unsuccessfully to get my dogs nails clipped...she freaks out and after fifteen minutes of trying, a muzzle, and tying her down we still only got one nail. She is VERY strong and can get out of (almost?) anyone holding her down. She is just scared to death of the nail clippers. I have tried to do it myself but I am unsuccessful as well. Does anyone know of a groomer who can help?

Vet recommendation for rats? (SB / Goleta)

Has anyone had experience with local vets for rat treatment? One of my rats has what appears to be a mammary tumor, and I'd like to get it removed if possible.

Any recommendations to a rat-knowledgeable vet that wouldn't charge "arm and leg" for the procedure would be greatly appreciated. I have called a couple of places in my immediate area and they all want to do an exam first, which would cost $50, is this standard for any vet?

I realize that tumor removal is size dependent, her tumor is a size of a small grape, and is on her armpit. After careful examination I'm afraid my other rat might be developing one too, but right now it just feel like a pimple.

It would be awesome to find an affordable vet that would see them both (maybe at a discount for both at once).

Justice�s story: I rescued Justice, a beautiful cocker spaniel puppy,a few months ago from an LA shelter hours before he was to be euthanized. When I first brought him home, I saw he was having trouble with one of his back legs. The vet said his hip was dislocated and had been for a while. That means he was brought to the shelter this way by some cold, uncaring owners, and the problem was neglected. Well, after surgery and lots of love and attention, Justice is finally running, jumping, and being the playful puppy he should be.

Unfortunately all of this trauma left him with emotional scars and Justice is still very fearful of strangers. He is very and playful with me and other people he knows, so I am positive he can get over his fears through just a little patient, personal training.

Justice is an amazingly sweet, playful dog, looking for someone to show him how to love and trust people again. He is truly one of the most loving and loyal (not to mention adorable) dogs I've ever met, and just needs someone to give him a second chance.

It is actuall two of the chain link dogs runs they sell at Home Depot, but we combined them to make one large run.
