FOR SALE: Glass prism blanks. Ideal for glass blowing and/or sculpting/molding.
These blanks were originally manufactured in the 1940s by Eastman for military binoculars and are molded from excellent quality, high-dispersion flint glass. There are several thousand of them and we can negotiate any price you feel like offering. I just want to get rid of them, and I'm happy to deliver them to you for the cost of fuel. They are still in their original, WWII-era, wooden crates, lovingly wrapped in straw and paper.
Each blank features the molded characters: A317331 BK; 574; 1.5725. (I assume the last number is the refractive index.) These can still be used for their original purpose, as prisms, but would need to be ground and polished.
