Keepers of the Earth Summer Day Camp 2008 with Priscilla and Jade Colman. Monday, July 7 through Friday July 11 9am- 1pm at Stevens Park in San Rogue area. For 3 to 5 year-olds. Cost $180.00
"Keepers of the Earth " camp is intended to provoke curiosity among children; each activity facilitates a discovery of the environment plus helps children understand the influence they have on their surroundings. The activities engage a child's whole self: emotions, senses, thoughts, and actions.
The activities include:
- nature scavenger hunt -nature hikes
- rock painting - rock charades
- Native American story time/ legends
- water cycle relay
- wind, weather, clean air and seed dispersal
-predator/ prey
Priscilla has 30+ years experience as an American Montessori Society certified preschool and elementary Montessori teacher as well as Nature Camp director. In 2007 Priscilla founded Keepers of the Earth Montessori School. Jade has 5 years experience as a Montessori teacher and camp guide. She has completed all Early Childhood Courses as well as Native American Studies. CPR and First Aid certified.
