Engaged, involved nanny/babysitter available

Hello parents,
I am a 23 year old female looking to begin a nanny position in June to fit your schedule as needed. I have a great deal of experience with children; most recently as an art teacher in Ecuador. I prefer to work on the weekdays with occasional weekends as needed- but I am flexible. If the job requires driving, cooking, homework help, travel, etc., I have a safe car and insurance, love to cook and cook healthfully, and am well-educated.
My idea of nannying/babysitting is NOT to keep your kids inside in front of the TV. I would hope that I could take them to the beach, the park, the outdoors!! (At your discretion, of course). If inside, I would be happy to prepare art projects. All nannies probably promise the same, but I truly mean it. My childhood involved lots of play and parks and adventures, and almost no TV or computers-- something I cherish and hope to offer to this new generation.
Some basic information about myself: I am a very responsible and respectful person in all regards, especially towards you, your children, and your home. I am sweet, easygoing and mellow by nature. I do not smoke or do drugs. I am very punctual and responsible especially when it comes to work.
I graduated from UCLA in 2006 with a degree in Studio Art and shortly after moved to the Galapagos Islands to be a volunteer teacher for two children's painting and drawing classes- one with kids ages 4-9, and one ages 10-14. I taught each class of 15 students on my own- you can imagine the patience required!! Since then, I have been working as an administrative and design assistant at an architecture firm.
Besides my experience as a children's teacher, I have also spent many years taking care of kids- growing up in a family of 7, babysitting all throughout middle school and college, working as a lifeguard at a kid-packed summer pool for three years, providing community childcare, and as an assistant to a first and second grade teacher throughout high school. I have always felt very comfortable taking care of children, from babies to older children.
My rates reflect the understanding that being a nanny is a profession, and that your children will be in good hands.
