Driftwood and Copper Fountain - $500 (Carpinteria)
I am a local artist and woodworker and have made probably around 100 of this type of fountain. Every one is uniquely beautiful and fabricated by hand with love and attention to detail. I was selling them at the Santa Barbara Artwalk and in local nurseries and did quite well for a while, but eventually the price of copper went up so much that I had to stop. This was one of my all time favorites so I held on to it and planned to set it up in my own yard someday, but never got around to it. Now I am moving and trying to shed stuff and this really just needs a good home with someone who will enjoy it. It has never been used except to test it, but it has been sitting outside (as it is meant to) and the copper is showing a nice patina. I also have a large round plastic water basin to set it in which would work best if you dig a hole for it and put rocks around or something like that to build it in to the landscape. The water makes a beautiful tinkling sound as it flows from leaf to leaf. It is really very lovely if I do say so myself...
I sold other large fountains like this at the artwalk for over $1000 with no questions asked and never a single complaint. I need to let it go soon so I think $500 is more then a great deal for something you will enjoy for many many years.
Also, if you are interested I can show you how to grow live orchids or other plants on it (request pictures of other ones I did) and can even hook up a drip watering system for an extra $100.
If your idea of relaxing is playing with plants and listening to the sound of falling water then you will love love love this. I want you to have it... It will make me feel good when it is finally being enjoyed.... Who knows maybe you will even send me a picture of how you set it up l so I can see it as it was meant to look.
