HOW DOES IT WORK IF MY CHILD WANTS TO BE A SELLER?

1. Your children clean out their closets and find clean, working toys, games, electronics, videos/DVD�s and books that they�ve outgrown or are ready to pass on.

2. Call The Cancer Center of Santa Barbara by June 4th to reserve one of the hundred spaces (1st come, 1st serve) to sell items. *There will be a �Thank You� envelope for each reserved space with goodies from McDonald�s, Golf �N Stuff, Zodos, Carvel Ice Cream, Winchell�s, Whiz Kidz and more.

3. Arrive at 8:00 am on June 7th with your items to sell (don�t forget chairs and a card table or blanket to display your items). Meet people, sell your items, and raise loads of money for pediatric cancer research.

4. Stick around after noon so you can take back your unsold items or donate them to a local charity.

5. Go home proud of what you�ve done.

Call Stephanie at the Cancer Center of SB @ (805) 898-2116 or email her at Events@ccsb.org. If you want to reserve a spot, do so by June 4th.

WHEN & WHERE?

The event runs from 9:00 am until noon on Saturday June 7, 2008 in the enormous parking lot of the Cancer Center of SB (524 W. Pueblo), IN THE BACK!

HOW DID THIS EVENT GET STARTED?

"Kids for a Cure" was spearheaded by eight-year old, business-owner, Madison Lewandowski. Madison wanted to find a way to help find a cure for pediatric cancer, while showing other children the magic of philanthropy. She says, "I love helping out. I think cancer is an important thing to try to fix. Kids sometimes don't think that they can help big things like cancer, but I want to show them, and the adults, that we really can."

Excellent Twin Bed's For Sale (College Students!!!) (Isla Vista, Trigo Rd.) $150

My brother and I are moving to a different University and need to sell our Twin beds that were purchased new this year. Originally the beds were about 300$ each - after a year of use, we have deemed it fair to sell them for half price (150$each). Rolling frames are included - this would be a great buy for anyone moving out of the dorms into Isla Vista. The beds will become available on June 15, but we would like to arrange a sale soon because we will be taking off immediately after finals on June 15.
