I am looking for a professional photographer who can provide portrait packages to students and print instant ID cards.

I will promote the portrait packages to the parents next summer and collect payments. You will come for a picture day in September 2010 and one make-up day and keep all the money collected. I want digital copies of all pictures, plus ID cards for all students and faculty (about 200 total). In the past, the photographers have grossed over $3000 for 2 days of work, but you must have and pay for your own equipment and printing. I provide the customers.

The LACE Archives Intern will work closely with the LACE Archives Fellow to make LACE’s archival holdings useful and available for research and integrate materials from LACE’s archive into exhibition and publication initiatives. Through his or her involvement with the archive, the intern will participate in several major LACE initiatives. These include the LACE In Print publication series and Los Angeles Goes Live, an exhibition and publication project focused on performance art in Southern California.

The LACE archive is an invaluable site of cultural history for Los Angeles, as LACE has been a crucial participant in the city’s artistic production for over three decades, often housing artwork that is experimental in nature. This LACE Archives Internship is an opportunity to work with LACE’s unique collections, which include documentation of art exhibitions and performances held at LACE since 1978, extensive holdings of photographic and video material and records pertaining to the institution’s history.

The LACE Archives Internship will provide an interested individual with the opportunity to gain training and experience working with archival collections. In addition to providing training in widely held standards and protocol of collections management, it also offers a unique introduction to working with collections related to experimental and variable media art. In addition, the intern will benefit from honing standard skills expected in any office. The Archives Intern will:
- Learn first-hand about collections-management issues and make use of an extensive database specifically designed by Franklin Furnace Archive to meet the needs of collections of conceptual and other variable media art;
- Create finding aids that describe and catalogue LACE’s collections;
- Work with the Archives Fellow to develop guides for using the archives;
- Learn about ways that archive collections are made publicly accessible and work with the LACE Archive Fellow to integrate the catalogue of LACE’s holdings into searchable online databases;
- Respond to research inquiries about LACE’s archive and facilitate the use of collections by LACE staff members, visiting scholars and artist researchers;
- Continue processing LACE’s collections, which includes digitizing video, slides and printed matter;
- Think creatively about how to generate broad interest in LACE’s archive; and
- Serve as a liaison with LACE’s webmaster to facilitate the integration of documents from the archive into LACE’s website.
