Art and Spirit BIG SUR Retreat 2008

This powerful workshop is held amidst the magnificent Redwoods at the
Big Sur
Lodge, located in
PfeifferBig SurState
Park. A 2,000 sq. ft. art studio is available 24
hours/day, allowing you to totally immerse yourself in the creative process.
Artist
and educator LINDA JACOBSON is the
guide for your creative journey. She has taught and exhibited her art
internationally for over 25 years. Her vibrant work is a unique synthesis,
richly infused by global cultural healing traditions. She presents her popular
creative seminars at UCLA Extension, Esalen and retreat centers across
Europe. She inspires many on their artistic journeys, including
personal instruction to Toltec healer and best-selling author Don Miguel Ruiz.
• For
both beginning and advanced artists--no prior experience necessary.
• Develop,
explore and express your personal vision; create free-flowing spontaneous
imagery; draw from nature; develop sketches into finished works.

Workshop includes demonstrations of acrylic, watercolor and pastel techniques as
well as art slide lectures that illustrate color, paint handling and
composition.
• Be
inspired by a community of like-minded artistic explorers; many return to Art
and Spirit, Big Sur annually.
• Meet
legendary Big Sur artist and writer
Carolyn Kleefeld at her extraordinary home and studio atop Pfeiffer Ridge
for an evening reading and show of her visionary paintings (which will soon be
exhibited at the Weismann Museum of Art at Pepperdine University).
WORKSHOP FEE:
$595 before April 20th, 2008 or $645 thereafter.
Includes
4-days of instruction (guided art processes, ritual and transformational work);
daily continental breakfast; shared accommodations.

A $250 deposit will hold your individual space - full payment is due by May 5,
