Santa Barbara County Elections is currently recruiting pollworkers for the upcoming June 3rd Statewide Direct Primary.
As a Pollworker, not only do you get to play an active and important role in your community, but you can also earn extra money in the process! Participation in the community Pollworker Program benefits the whole community and fosters a sense of pride in the community.
Requirements for a Pollworker are that you be a registered voter in the State of California.
There are two levels that are needed: Inspectors and Clerks.
INSPECTORS supervise a precinct and MUST attend a training class. They are paid $190.
CLERKS are paid $120 and an additional $10 for attending training.
Polling places are open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Working hours at the polls are 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
