looking for people who love burritos. i'm from san diego, so, i have high standards. i'm vegetarian too, so, i'm always in search for that perfect vegetarian burrito. there's a couple spots here in santa barbara that are ok. but for the most part everything's way over priced. if you know roberto's down south then you know what i'm talking about. i've tried super cucas but they just serve LARGE burritos. which is great if you just want to eat big fat burritos that arent all that great. (sorry if you're a fan). and i've visted super rica, oprah's supposed joint, but it's all super meaty. and freebirds in IV's ok, but still on the large so-so burrito side.
the best burrito is obviously after surfing for a few hours. of course there's no surf in SB. what the heck am i doing here??! i dont know. but i crave a good burrito. if you know how to make home-made tortillas, i could well-become your best friend. my theory is that good tortillas are the secret to good burritos. if your burrito leaks or blows up in a spot - no good. if it's wrapped in tin foil - no good. it's got to be wrapped in a sturdy delicious bready tortilla that can hold all the ingredients inside.
